I'm considering purchasing some coins, but am apprehensive about one. Any opinions on the authenticity?

Dang, the appearance of the stars makes me think the dies were on their last legs.

Looks authentic to me, though.

I'm no expert on these, but I have an 1832 specimen in approximately the same condition and the patterns of wear on your coin are similar to mine.

I don't see any glaring red flags to make me question its authenticity.

Don't see any signs of being counterfeit. The elongated star points are a sign the coin was struck from a worn die and is commonly seen within the series.

Should be weighed, with allowance made for wear.

The stars show that it coin is a late die state, i.e., overused dies.
