Well, I'll go first. If that is the beginning of toning then MS64.

Yes, the neck and about 5 o clock on the obverse field has some dark toning which did not show up very well in the picture.
On the bottom left of the reverse picture that is just scotch tape I use to tape the price and date I bought it at.

I'm going to say MS-64+ only because I am split between 64 and 65. The coin doesn't seem to have too many marks and looks like a 65 but I am just a little bit unsure how much chatter is on the cheek and how the obverse toning looks in hand which is why I am a little hesitant to say 65.

If there was a little less scuffing on her cheek I would give it an MS65, but such as it is I'll give it an MS64.

Technically a 5 taken to a 4 for the unattractive toning or whatever that is.

I'm a little surprised by all the 64's. I should have brought the coin with me to work where I have access to a scope with mounted camera to show that the cheek isn't so bad.

You may need to work on your lighting and illuminate the coin better.

Certainly has some nice clean fields. I'd like to see the luster in hand - I don't know if the pics do it justice.

Nice!
I'll trade you a 1888-S Morgan and some bacon (disregard the thread pertaining to said coin) for your coin.
Deal?

I'm using a setup that I copied off of Wheatiefan here; https://goccf.com/t/157266&whichpage=1except I just have 2 desk lamps shoved together instead of nice goosenecked lights like he has. I'll experiment with changes to lighting when I get home again (I'll be living on an oil rig for the next 2 weeks)

Quote: I'm a little surprised by all the 64's I have posted four different MS67 PCGS CAC Walking Liberty halves. I have had people guess AU58 so I'm surprised you didn't have a wider range of guesses. I usually only get one or two correct guesses and many that are 2-3 grades low. People don't grade high (unless it is their coin).
