Peace dollars are always fun to grade. What do you think on this one....in an old PCI holder

There appears to be a hit to the base of the neck on the OBV. There are also some hits on the Eagle. I'll go with MS63.

Looks like bag marks on the center of Eagle as well. In hand if these are wear marks I guess it would have to be AU58.

I don't see any serious marks.
There's something at 3 o'clock on the reverse but not a killer.
Appears to be some minor luster breaks but they could have occurred at the Mint.
If so, then I wouldn't be surprised at a MS-65.

PCI was a reasonable TPG so whatever they said can be expected to be reasonably close to what PCGS or NGC would say.

I like hearing all the 64's and 65 opinions. This is one of the cleanest Peace dollars I own....of which I have a couple MS 65's in PCGS holders. I couldn't pass on this one. I may just have to keep it.

Nice coin. I have one just like it and it too has an MS63 grade. It has the same hit to the neck on the OBV above the designers initials like yours. That is why I guessed 63 and got it right. They don't seem to mind hits to the fields but when they occur on the face it costs a lot in grade.
