Good Evening,

I've attached two 1924 SLQ photos for your grading opinion. I came up with VF25.

I think the coin's details are better than VF25, however there is a large scrape on the reverse (Eagle's left wing; 12 & 3 o'clock on the rim). How does one account for unusual wear like the scrape? Does this turn it into a "problem" coin, or is the grade just downgraded?

I'm reasonably pleased with these photos, but I would appreciate any comments or tips.

Thank you for your opinions.

I'd say it becomes a problem coin with damage like that. Too bad because otherwise it looks like a nice coin and I'd say your grade is well within reason. This coin reminds me of my 1918 S Standing Liberty quarter I found metal detecting, I put a shovel mark across the reverse that "shaved" off most of it's value

The scrape on the eagle's wing and the rim damage does appear to be pretty severe unfortunately. It would definitely get a details grade from a third party grader. Despite that it looks to have nice eye appeal and would look nice in a album with other circulated coins.

VF details, damaged. That's severe damage, and quite unfortunate.

We need to talk about your TPS reports. The cover sheets. Did you get the memo? So if you could go ahead and try to remember to do that from now on, that'd be great. All right!

Thank you for all of the feedback; I'll continue to admire the front of the coin!

Not now FadetoBlack, I have a meeting with the Bobs.
