I bought these 2 coins for scrap at the local dealer. I've been looking for some nice Japanese coins for a while and found these ones. I also bought another coin that I identified as a 10 Sen, Year 31. I can't seem to identify these for some reason? Probably something stupid that I missed. Help?

Japanese coins go by the Year of the Era, so it has to be converted to the Christian Date. You need to know the name of the era to start. Luckily those are well documented and easy to recognize.
