Ok, so I have a want list posted in the website and I've been recently approached to buy coin. I at first though he was a honest guy so when he told me he had coins I wanted I was excited. He asked to sell me a 1852 and 1853 3 cent. I said that I was no longer interested in these dates and that I was only interested in Type 3's now. He said he had 1860, 1861, 1862 and 1862/1. Now this was a bit odd as not many people have such an extensive collection of this specific type coin and even if they did it's unlikely to be all on sale. Now at first it didn't ring some bells. He approached me with some MS++ specimens that I said were out of my price range, so I declined. He then said that he had the same coins in EF and AU as well so I had to pick. This is when I started getting suspicions and asked him to send me pictures. They were amateur quality so that didn't prove anything. I proceeded to searching for these coin. Being fairly rare, there weren't many search results. Guess what!? He sent me pictures from 4 different sellers, who has posted their coins on both ebay and Coincommunity.com I told him off and just posted this to warn all of you. I believe it is against the rules to state the members name on here but I feel it is necessary to post the sale links to the coins, so that the sellers and buyers can be made aware. If this violates any rules, please remove it Mods. http://www.ebay.com/itm/37090910278...527040978570http://www.ebay.com/itm/12118412285...527046275926http://www.ebay.com/itm/1861-3-CENT...251346267388He also approached me with a 1929 AU Standing Liberty quarter and that is so common that I couldn't hope to search for it. The 3 links up there are proof enough for me. Unfortunately such a person can just create a new account, and maybe scam someone else, somewhere else. I just wanted to know, what kind of action can I take against such a person. I'm not going to file a police report or anything but I still want to do something about it. What do you guys think? Im not sure of the rules for posting names but in cases like this I would certainly be interested to know who it is as I'm sure everyone would to know to avoid them.

Same thing happened to me on here awhile back, same deal... happened to have what I needed, but same as you something set off the flags. Same deal... I was able to match the photos to other listings. I wonder if its the same person using new user names, or just simply just different people, same scam. What kind of post count did this person have?

This is as good a place as any to mention:
All I am, even with 13k posts, is just a stream of electronic bits to any of you who haven't met me in person. That's all any of you are, to me. That's all I know about you - you're bits.
How much do you trust a bit?

A honest person is a honest person, a scum bag thief is a scumbag thief, the internet does not change that, just makes it easier for scumbag thieves to steal.

The member's name is "Sean H". He has exactly 50 posts and hasn't been registered for even 2 weeks yet.
Again if I'm violating any rules then please remove this post.

I have just went through the server logs (whew!) for the time since he hit his 50 posts. He emailed three other members. I don't know the content of the emails, just know they were sent.
I just sent an email to all three members to warn them. I'll post the names here too in case the emails don't make it.... CGCoins, jprine, and Wiggam007.

You can assume that happened within ten seconds of Admin receiving your email. IP's are frangible, though, so that's obviously not the only thing we've done about this.

I have met SsuperDdave in person, and can vouch for what he says. He is made up entirely of bits. Very disconcerting.
