I'm worried about my 1993 ASE, it appears that the outer layer of silver is wearing out and revealing what appears to be copper underneath:

Angle 1:
Fake-1992-ASE?

Angle 2:
Fake-1992-ASE?

Is this a fake ASE or is that just normal tarnish?

Also, rate my photography please, using a Sony-s600 PTB. :D Which angle is a better picture?

I didn't get a good pic of the obverse, but there is some normal looking tarnish on the other side.

Thanks. :)

Looks like natural toning to me.

For the picture, directly above coin with 2 sources of indirect light (both sides) with NO flash will give a great pic.

For the ASE I am not qualified to say. All mine are shiny new.

Pics leave a lot to be desired...agree with the above suggestion and lighting is the KEY factor in good coin pics... but it looks like regular toning to me...

Check the weight and dimensions, an ounce of silver is heavier than an ounce of copper!!!

1993? Toning will form depending how you store it and what conditions it is stored in.

Weight on this coin is good, ~31.4 grams.

I have another coin I'm worried about, it is 31.1, failed ding test, passed tissue test.
