Doesn't look like it is missing chrome......still has that bluish colour. I have a 1953 that looks a lot like this on one side only as well. Not uncommon. Probably the way that is was being stored.

Were these plated with nickel before the chrome plating was added?

At first I thought, if it was plated and the plating is falling off for some reason it was worth more... but now I see they mean if the coin had missed the plating process then its worth more. Makes more sense to me now. I cant help but wonder how many I rolled back up and returned to the bank without thinking of that. oh well

The old lockers for showering were torn out, may original work was done in late 50's,early 60's....Dry now but may hav been moist some years....Coin always the same side up.....How much is worth.?maybe or not the missing crome one ,,it looks same as picture.. I was happy to find it...PS this is my first post,,Just joined...collecting coins for years though.......hav a nice day...
