I'm calling it VF35. Greenish/orange cast associated with the native gold.
I like this coin!
Your looking at around $1500 USD if problem free.
I don't see any immediate signs unless there may have been an old wipe then value would be affected slightly.

I'd go XF40 and about $1800 retail. It looks nice for a Charlotte mint piece.

I think the reverse will bring it down to a VF35, its definitely a coin that has high demand being a charlotte mint issue.

I think this coin grades around AU-50. I think the softness in the hair behind the ear and on the eagle's leg is the result of a weak strike rather than wear. Those areas look slightly rounded which I typically associate with a weak strike instead of flat and dark surfaces from wear. When comparing this example to others online, many of them are soft in the same spots. Here's one example from Heritage that is weak in the same areas: http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...6&lotNo=2185 If it is slabbed a problem free AU-50, it could auction for around $2800. Very nice coin!
