I've a fairly large collection of English Brockages and DoubleStrikes, Charles II to William IV.

It is probably time to sell.

What dealer or auction house would you recommend? (I'm thinking that it should be a seller knowledgeable in English coins and error coins. Also, one to whom it would be easy to get the collection to).

Thanks,
Bill

You really need to ask this question on a UK site.
I get the impression that they aren't into error coins the way the US (and Canada?) are.
I have a couple that have gotten no interest although they aren't in the same league as yours.

Hi Kanga,

Thanks for your thoughts.

Someone suggested selling coins here on the Coin Community Forum. I may look into that.

Baldwin's would be a reasonably close U.K. approximation of the professionalism of Heritage.
Dunno about their fees.
May be worth dropping them a snail mail or email to find out.

Spink are a major auction house and also have a US office. They both auction and offer coins through their Numismatic Circular magazine, issued a few times a year.

Might also be worth contacting them?
