I don't think they will ever be worth money.
Do you know how many Zinc cents were made? Billions of each year..
What happens if 200 million are saved?

Quote: Do you know how many cents are lost forever? Billions each year. I have a friend who literally used to throw pennies away, yes you heard that right...out with the trash! She had been doing it for over 30 years I finally talked her into just giving them to me...it took months.

If the coin looks roll-fresh, I'll put it away. Lately I have been finding more 2013 dimes than pennies.

as of the beginning of this month, I am no longer saving any 2013 pennies. I now have completed either 5 or 6 rolls of them in UNC condition from circulation.

I hope several generations from now someone enjoys all the coins I store. I always think about how cool it would be if someone gave me coins they saved over the years...

To each his own. If pennies are your thing then go for it. I find that rolls take up far too much valuable real estate, especially if someone has 50 Zincoln rolls or more. I'd much rather take those 50 rolls to the bank convert them to $25 and take that money to my LCS and pick up BU bullion ASE. One ASE takes up far less room and weight than 50 rolls of pennies. If I were really seriously into Zincolns, I'd take the best ten coins of each date/mm combo and put them in sealed 2x2s or Air-Tites, anything beyond that is simply penny hoarding, and that money could be better spent elsewhere.

If the 2013 I come across isn't scratched I put it a plastic roll.
But I find a lot of them look good at first glance but have a scratch somewhere if you really look at em.
but yeah, a plastic roll and that's it, no reason to go overboard with them.
