In Massachusetts I have snagged 7 King George VI pennies from rolls. They definitely are harder to fins than wheats, because think about it, there aren't that many Canadians to begin with in the US, than finding one from the 1952 or before should be a challenge! Mine are 1939, 1941 (x2), 1942 (x2), 1945, and 1952. Post your KGV and KGVI coins from CRH!

KGIV's are definitely harder to find than 1940's and 1950's wheats. Being in Michigan (2 1/2 hours from the Canadian border) over the past two years of coin hunting I have found them to be slightly harder to find than pre-1940's wheats. I have found almost 300 KGIV's and about 325 pre-1940's wheats. KGV's have been much more elusive. I have only found 5 of those which is about half as much as my 11 Indian Head cents.
Rest in Peace

The 1921 was found by the five year-old son of my husband's boss. The boy got in change at school. It's going back to him as soon as we figure out the grade and value.

The 1932 I found while working a cash register way back in the early 70's.

The 1943 was found in my late father-in-law's stuff.

Few of my oldest Canadians found while CRHing. I'm not exactly close to Canada either, but they found there way down here.

I've got this one, but it isn't Canadian. I found it in a roll of U.S. quarters.

Cool finds guys! I'm going to the bank this week, maybe today. I'll let you know if I discover any KGVs or KGVIs along with my regular wheat finds!

Love that 1943 Victory nickel with the Morse code around the rim ! I've found way too many Canadian pennies to post and I'm gonna have to sell them all someday. I did almost an entire collection from roll hunting, had to buy a few off ebay to finish it.
