Oh man, I'm going on a business trip tomorrow and have been super busy. Hopefully I have some entry-qualified coins already photographed and in my computer and can post them from the road. Otherwise, I probably won't make it home in time to dredge up something.

India, Kuninda Kingdom Amoghabhuti c. 2nd cent. BC 17 mm x 2.11 g obverse: Deer standing crowned by two cobras attended by Lakshmi holding lotus flower, ghadiya under deer. Brahmi Legend- Rajanah Kunindasa Amohabhutisa maharajasa. Reverse: Buddhist Stupa surmounted by the Buddhist symbol triratna and surrounded by a Swastika a "Y" symbol and a tree.-Kharoshti legend Rana Kunindasa Amoghabtusia maharajasa. (Great King Amoghabhuti of the Kunindas) ref: MACW 4440-4441, ACC #3 Note:Exceptionally Rare. Rarely offered for sale. Germany. Mint A, Berlin AR 2 Reich mark s. 1939 AD Obverse: Head of Paul van Hindenburg 1847 -1934 AD Reverse: Spread Eagle, swastika within wreath. I always thought that a symbol once a sign of good fortune would take on a far more sinister message in the modern era. Adolf Hitler sought to unlock secrets kept by ancients and believed in symbolism and chose 'repurpose' the Swastika on his coinage. In 1939 Nazi Germany invaded Poland and through a series of treaties and alliances warfare would be fought on an unprecedented scale. Although horrible those events helped develop the technologically advanced world most of us live in. This was one empire better destroyed. In 1945 Berlin and most of the major cities of Europe where raised in Allied carpet bombing campaigns. Go Allies!

1st coin is was going to me my go to coin for smackdowns, an Alexander the Great tetradrachm, I decided instead to mix it up a little and submit an Alexander the Great drachm instead. Its a well known type and not very adventurous but it was my first ancient and a well loved type with all the key ingredients such as an enthroned god. 2nd coin is a Greek Bronze featuring a lightening bolt.
