I PM'd the seller and asked if they could do better on the price, and asked if the pictures he provided were un-inhanced. It was originally a Buy-it-Now on ebay for $1920. I checked closed Heritage Auction prices and there was a very large price range for NGC AU-58 examples. They went from $1300 on up just passed $2000.00. The typical range was $1400-$1600. I did notice that on the low side the eye appeal was "meh", and the $1900-$2000 examples were boldly stuck, lustrous and had pleasing color. The seller responded assuring me the pictures were completely untouched. He claims it looks every bit as good inhand, even describing it as a "super choice" example. He offered it for $1850 delivered, which, after shipping is about $100 off the asking price. He also said if I don't agree with the considerable quality I could return it. I don't plan on returning it without a REALLLLY good reason, but the fact that he offered made me more confident that it really does look as good in hand. So.... in the end I decided to spend the extra money on quality. I plan on getting much enjoyment out of it for many years to come, so I don't want to compromise. Here are some pictures of what I will be receiving in the next week. Thanks for all the help and advice many of you have given during my search. Cheers!

WOW. I like that one. I've got 3 of them but not as nice as that. Don't let anyone bug you about the price. That is one of the coins that will go up, up, up due to it's popularity. Of course you could always sell it to me if not happy.

Now thats what I'm talking about. WOW, so much better than the previous one you posted. It is so hard to pass on a coin you really want but if it is not perfect for those type of dollars, wait. Heck, the hunt is half the fun, anyway. Nice job on a very special coin. Jim

Paratrooper. I remember when you were just a newbie. And I remember your very first post like it was only yesterday. And now you are the owner (will be very, very soon) of 3 legged Buffalo! We are all very proud of you here at the forum. And again... CONGRATULATIOS!!!

There is NOTHING like the 37D 3-legged buffalo!!! The only thing better than saying I had one is I STILL have one. Mine has doubled in value, at least, since I purchased it years ago and I do regret not seeking out a couple of more while my income afforded such purchases. None the less mine is here to stay! Great coin you have there and a true asset to any collection.
