I think cleaned and low end PF. What would you grade it?

I would grade it "A crying shame", LOL. Just a guess, maybe PF-50

I'm with you on that one! It's quite a shame someone would do that to a nice proof. It was probably nicely toned at some point.

She has a strong strike one would expect for a proof coin, with some minor scratches and richly toned. I don't see any wear but it may go PR58 if a TPG detects wear. If you feel it has been cleaned it would be slabbed PR60 cleaned. I would be happy with it in my walking liberty set.

Unfortunately, there is a tiny bit of wear on this one. (eagle's eyebrow)
To take proofs out of circulation is not extremely unusual.

I have a two mirror / cameo circulated impaired proofs of later years, one of them I bought, the other I took from circulation myself.

AU? PF 58 for this one.

Can you post pictures of it out of the 2x2? Based on the photos posted I say PR50 details due to hairlines and apparent wear.
