First, how do you get historical data on items? For instance, if I wanted to get an idea of what a particular coin have been selling for over the last six months. Secondly, and I wouldnt have to ask if I knew the answer to the first question, is there really a market on ebay for empty proof boxes? I have bought several silver proof sets in the last month and have just been throwing away the boxes. Thanks!

jprine,

Go to the click on "Advanced" next to search and you can look at the items that have and have not sold over the last 90 days or so. You can add as much detail as you want and should get a good idea of what ebay buyers and sellers are asking for just about any item.

Make sure you click on the "Sold Listings" or "Completed listings" to see a history of items. Any item with a green price sold and red is a no-sale.

Check out using the different ways to locate what you're looking for and if you don't see it the first time, change the wording of the search. Some people call things differently than you think they would.
