This is the oldest dime I have found in CRH so far, well one of them is, the other... OK I guess I'm getting lazy I didn't want to take two snaps.

I can't imagine anyone was going to post this, but I will get it in early just in case. This one commemorates the state I was born in.

Here, I'll post a picture of my 1946 British half penny. Just because I can.

The Channel Islands were the only part of the UK occupied during WW II. Bypassed during the liberation of France and Belgium starting in June 1944, the Jerries remained in their stronghold and were cut off from their lines, but didn't surrender until May 1945, when Nazi Germany capitulated.

Coinage resumed the same year with a 'Liberation penny'. Here a 1946 "One twelfth of a shilling". (A strange name for a penny. What else do you expect from islanders?)

A crowned King George VI, very unlike other UK coinage, where the King was depicted bare headed.

Getting harder for me to find a good coin to post

This one is not high grade .. but I don't post it much.
It is hard to tell, had to check it against Cherry Pickers Guide myself.

Thanks for sharing, Triggersmob.
I was aware it had existed (as has 1/13th of a shilling), but never did see any picture of any of those.

Here's that 1946(s) USA Booker T. Washington half, currently plugging a hole in a Dansco album I fully expect never to finish.
