EF-40. An AU grade can't have a strong fold in the middle.

For it to be an EF .. it can have either one strong centre crease or 3 soft horizontal creases...

This note has one strong centre crease... but there are some other creases as well. (At least it looks that way from the pictures)

I would grade this as a VF
Looks like theres a couple creases closer to the clear poly.. and on the bottom picture left hand side... going in towards the clear maple leaf

Radar/Binary/Bookend combination (Example: 44777744)

- does this classification apply on Canadian notes? and what is that 2 digit (21) on the right margin of the note?
- also the last 1 is sitting proud(higher) than the other digits; is this considered an error?

as you can see,I know diddly squat about collectable bills, this is my very first" fancy note".

thanks again for the insight.

Some people would classify this a a binary. But some people only do if it's ones and zero's. Which is a true binary, but I think they both count.

You example also classifys as a repeater. Not a Canadian repeater since our notes have 7 digits, not 8

Alas I can not help with your other questions...

I think that the very small 2 digit number you're seeing on the note.... is either the FPN & BPN... front plate number & back plate number.

As for the last digit sitting proud... its still within the normal registry and as such wouldn't derrive a premium. Don't get me wrong....In this series of notes it seems the last numeral quite frequently doesn't exactly line up.... and you see some idiots trying to hawk them as errors .... but it shouldn't be the case.
