This 1925-P Peace dollar has a strange line through the center of the tiara that I have a picture of. It is higher up on the tiara than the tiara gouge I found in top 50 list.

any ideas?

It's a die crack. For some reason, Peace dollar obverse dies were subject to frequent cracking with that radiused, concentric propagation (relative to the rim). You see them more frequently on the lower obverse, but they're also known on the upper half like yours. It's not definitive of any specific VAM, unlike the VAM-1A die gouge you mentioned. That one was an accidental (apparently) hit on the die, causing all coins struck by that die to have the gouge.

That is a very nice looking coin. I bet with just a tad bit of wear that crack would never even be noticeable, that is why thin cracks are not used as identifiers for VAMs. I have never been very good with Peace dollars so I can't help with the VAM without a bunch or really good close ups and even then I don't know if I could figure it out. Make sure and check the reverse rays for doubling (It can be hard to see).
