Dug this one out of the pile and can't seem to ident it to VAM. There are so many things going on it should be easy - but not for me. Doubled date, clashes everywhere, very near date, high, tilted mint mark, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PG

VAMworld is not much help. It's not one of the very near date varieties with full plate photos.

very true dat Dave. There are some very specific markers on this coin. One of the most striking (so to speak) is the die gouge through the "T" in LIBERTY. PG

Actually PG, I think I stopped prematurely at the bulges on the reverse of the VAM23 plates. After further investigation I think yours is a 23.

VAM-23. The cracks are definitive to me. And it's not even our first at CCF.
