Yeah, $1500 for the $1000 note and $800 for the $500 note. I'm glad he showed me those! I can now ay I held those bills! :)

Both notes seem reasonable for the condition. I paid $710 for the $500, and its not in the shape this one is in for $800. But I didn't pay sales tax either. One day the $1000.

But this kind of bills are always XF+---> Unc as nobody uses them to pay.

That is a nice pair and if they were priced at $800 and $1500 they would sell quickly at a major show, even with the writing on the back. I don't believe it is legal for states to charge sales tax on the face value of U.S. currency but trying to fight is a battle for someone other than me! Thanks for sharing.
