Since I cant find any store or ebay that is selling a qx5 I am thinking about buying this. Id mostly be looking for doubing and RPMS
Anyone have one of these? Thoughts?

Not so sure with that one. Some of those type you can't change the batteries and even when ya can it costs a lot more then normal batteries. I use a monocular from The Sharper Image that works extremely well for a small device that is easily portable. It doesn't have a light but it's good for close ups or use outside like binoculars.

Thats a good scope to take to the coinshow or your dealer but I think it will get bothersom looking through rolls of anything. here is a few scopes to look at

Laxmaster, I purchased the one you have pictured and ended up returning it because the length was too long. It made placing the coin underneath the magnifier just so very ackward and frustrating and gary mentioned above.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about this one becuase I couldnt find a qx5 for a reasonable price. I heard you can get them for less than $100. ebay is only showing used qx3's
Anyone know where to get a qx5

www.sciplus.com or cal toll free 888-724-7587. Place called American Science & Surplus. Ask for their catalog. In the section called Optics on page 40, 41, etc. there is a large variety of magnification items with and/or without lights. Some have 1 light, some 2 lights, head mounted, with stands, pocket types, large and small ones. If you can find one of their stores the aisles on optics are loaded with every type made on Earth or so it appears. Every time I go there I get lost in a maze of things I want.
