Hi...this is my first ever post to this forum. I acquired a 22K gold coin that I believe commemorates the Lion's Club participation in the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. There is one just like it for sale on ebay, albeit in much better condition. Does anyone here have any information about this coin/medal? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the small photos...I will try to fix them. The inscription on the back side of the coin is "Ofrecemos y deseamos amistad con todos los pueblos de la tierra". Thanks for taking a look at this.
I know this is an old topic, but I have additional information.
First, the medal should be 40 mm in diameter, and have the fineness and serial stamped on the edge.
It appears to be a companion piece to one with the actual Lions Club emblem. See photo. The medal below has same flip side as shown in the original post.
