If I'm wrong it is a great buy because a 47 Half Cent is a proof only issue. (As is the 1831, which matches the size of the 1847. And I really don't believe he found two proof only issue at one place for $10.)

Looks like you got a Mexican silver coin as well in the lot, is that right? That could be worth the $10 itself depending on denomination. May we have a looksee at the reverse please?
