I found this story on Yahoo. Reminds me of the American Indians and the way government treated them.

I watched a PBS special last night about a New Zealand Lion/Tiger guy. I missed some of the show, but I guess he has a tv show and now has a white lion. I think the name was Zion Wildlife Garden. I hope PBS shows that again so I can see what I missed. Or if you know about it, I'd like to read your thoughts on it. Sounded really great. Wished I had seen it all.

Not sure of all of the details of what went on over with the native people of your country ( I am a decendant).
But regardless of race, creed or colour or religous standings, if people in your community are subjecting future generations to this abuse something needs to be done.
Because claiming native rights in Australia seems to give you special treatment that most people are scared to publicly say much as they get accussed of what you first claimed.
Any child abuser should loose all rights, and yes I dont care what colour or race they are.
I understand you only had minimal infromation on this topic.

Minimal information is correct. I'm not too versed on US history let alone another country. It just seems to me that the original inhabitants of any country seem to loose when another culture moves in. I wasn't so much speaking of the abuse, ANYONE that does that should be severely punished. I was thinking more of the alcohol and problems associated with it. Title of article is to ban alcohol. American Indians had a weakness for alcohol, or should I say low tolerance and that was used against them. I ask questions and make comments to get information. I like reading about Australia, New Zealand, Great Barrier Reef, and other tropical locations, even Hawaii. I hope I did not offend anyone with posting this article. That was not my intent. Sorry.
