In the collection I inherited from my Dad I found a 1953 set in plastic and was wondering if it's a proof set. Here's a pic of the Half Crown. It's been in plastic for over 30 years. Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is a proof or not... it could just be proof-like, but I think this thread would get more attention in the 'World Coins and Commemoratives' though.

Thanks Joseph. Can I move the thread to that forum or should I start up a new one?

The only way to move this is if a Moderator see it, their the only people that can move topics... or you can start a new thread on this in the 'World Coins and Commemoratives' and a Moderator could delete and/ or lock this topic (or maybe just leave it alone).

It looks like a circulation piece to me. A proof would have a different finish: http://www.colonialcollectables.com...wn-1953.html
