The Mint announced today that the 2013 W ASE Proof (GA6) is officially sold out. I'm sure more 2013's are to follow.

Yep, time is running out to purchase US mint goodies. Amazing how fast a year goes.

This year proof ASE doesn't have the lowest mintage though. Watch out for the Burnished ASE and annual sets and Half dollar commemorative as these have some of the lowest mintage......

Thanks for the heads up SA4H. My burnished ASE is in the mail on the way to me. I haven't been collecting for almost 2 years counting this year till recent and I missed out on last years annual sets. They now seem to be asking a nice premium for them if I want to pick one up. I wont miss out on this years sets though.

The proof is always a big seller and this year's mintage will be close to 850-900k as opposed to the 2013 W burnished which is presently under 160k The Annual $1 set starts sales tomorrow. It includes a burnished W ASE and all 5 $1 coins. It was a better bargain when spot was higher but still will be nice set.

The single proof ASE is sold out, but don't forget there is still the 2013 Congratulations set at $54.95 and next month the Limited Edition Silver Proof Set (LESPS) goes on sale. Didn't think it was worth getting last year as I had all of the individual coins now it commands a decent premium. I might spring for this year's though as the packaging was attractive, even though again, I have all of the coins in other sets.

Bizy... I have a lot of coins that are also in other sets. I don't see that fact as a reason not to buy the LESPS - which I can sell as a set in the future - and still have the other coins.

@Doug58: the stopper for me last year was the price on the LESPS: $149.95. If it's less than $129.95 this year, I'll definitely get a set or two. It's the perfect birth year gift than the $19.95 birth year set in the cardboard holder that the Mint markets. Way nicer and classy.

THe 2013 Limited Edition set was a HIT. The presentation alone is just,,,,, man, it is just so elegant, similar to the Reverse Buff we got.
But its a great way to get a few coins AND the proof. So with me, I don't really collect other mint products except their gold and silver proofs products. So this is really nice to get other coins in there.
I mean the case is really beefy and heavy alone, it looks GREAT. If you missed 2013, do NOT pass up getting one this year, even if you already have duplicates of coins.

@DeltaAMT: You are welcome. Btw, I have an extra set of 2012 Uncirculated set that I was thinking of putting up on ebay, if you are interested, I can set it aside for you until you reach your required posts and we can set up a trading. @Bizy: I was aware of the LESPS like you and was debating, low cash reserve stopped me from ordering the set.... I still missing the 2012 Silver Proof Set too. We should create a separate LESPS 2013 thread though.
