Apart from the fun of putting one of those togeather....if you really want to use your smart phone to photograph coins then why not go in this direction: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dsc-q...ications#tab

A wifi/NFC lens just for your smart phone. To be honest I think its a product with a lot in common with a digital watch.....great product for a few years then everyone got real and forgot about them!!

Actually number 8 is brilliant......Except I've been wearing 501's for years.. Back on topic number 14 seems the simplest and least troublesome!
