Token or medallion. Nice if it is gold.

Frohe Weinacht is German for Merry Christmas. Can't identify the church (cathedral) but must be German or Austrian. Perhaps just a trinket to stick in a child's Christmas stocking. As my mother used to do (but English coins).

And welcome to the community.

Its not gold. It looks like silver or aluminum? Maybe white gold, if I'm lucky.

You can tell if it's aluminium easily enough. Find a circulation coin of about the same size and there will be a big difference in the weight.

Silver is harder to tell but it could also be nickel or steel or an alloy.

What is that (figures or numbers) near the rim under the figures? Can't make it out.

That may well be silver then at .999 purity. The S still applies as the German for silver is silber.

Can't give you a value as it is just a private issue but may carry a bit of premium over the bullion value.
