Lustrous coin in hand It's difficult to capture definition and how lovely this coin is with my lousy IPHONE The color dances on this coin I'm contemplating submission to PCGS That's washout on the obverse relief, there is no wear What say you oh numismatic brethren?

AU-58 from these photos. Probably far better in hand.

High grade coins need high grade pics. Coin could be AU-55 or MS-63. I can't narrow it down much.
I can say it is a beauty either way though.

A tricky one to determine grade from your pictures, but I will venture an MS-61. Beautiful dime!!

I really don't see any hits or scratches on it, just somewhat blotchy toning. If the breaks in toning on a few high points are not wear (an AU-58), then I will go a little higher in grade. Coins I have submitted like this always seem to come back MS64, so I will go with that Nice coin. If you decide that it is a burden to keep it, I will send you my address. It would make a nice companion to my 1886 quarter Just kidding of course

AU-58 with some very nice toning but I don't think it's worth a submission to PCGS.

PCGS gave this one an AU58
I cannot get over how GOOD you all are!

I also had it at AU58. Nice Colorado. The rub on the breasted knees and flag disqualified it from the MS catagory. Would put this in my type set in a heartbeat

Nice. I am sending to CAC. I am fairly confident its a top tier AU58 with the color.

wait in the original post you said there is no wear... you said it was "washout" how does a coin with no wear get an AU grade?

The graders saw it differently. Hence the old adage, grading is subjective. Right on the cusp of MS. I am not so unhappy. I'll sell this coin as soon as I get back and upgrade to an MS64 anyway. Had it come in at MS62 I would have kept it and not bothered wit an upgrade but now I have a reason to buy what I need for my registry set.
