I posted this before in the errors section, but now I would like to know if it's worth sending in to get graded. It has a Cud on the reverse (IC-1864-6R), and the reverse is 180* rotated (medal rotation).

its got some dings and would probably wind up with a genuine details designation

Nice Cud, but at AG and this hit on the back I probably wouldn't send it for grading.

Yep I'd agree with AG3 as the rims are nowhere near complete. The rotation and Cud make for interesting study, but the scratch on the obverse through AMERICA and the dig on the reverse wreath would keep this out of a TPG holder unless it's a details one, so not worth submitting IMO.

nice Cud. The rotated reverse is neat but not many are willing to pay much of a premium for them. They are very common on 1864 Indians. Most common on the 'bronze with L', still common on the 'bronze no L', and less common on the 'copper nickel'.

The Cud (at 9 0'clock) I find curious. I don't think I've ever seen a Cud that affected BOTH sides of a coin. Definitely a DETAILS coin so the "grade" is moot.

Kanga, the Cud does not effect both sides, only one. The thing you're seeing on the obverse is from the hit on the back

If you would like to submit your 1864 for inclusion in my book, please let me know. It certainly would be a nice addition with the high degree of rotation and Cud.

Indiancentvariations, that's fine! You can include it in your book! Thanks!
