It will be very hard to find a nicer nickel than the one that you have shown us here.

That one contact is very insignificant. Most of that series have contact marks all over them.

That one contact that you mention was through the nickel and chromium and left the steel prone to show a touch of rust on the bare steel.

You'd think that there would be lots of gems available but that's not what I've seen.
