I found this 1987 penny in pocket change. I was wondering in the area of "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the obverse if it was struck into the rim or double struck. It doesn't appear to be off-center. Thank you for looking.

What you are seeing is Die Deterioration. It is very common on zinc cents.
