Hi,

I am at a location where I do not have access to a decent camera to illustrate the cross sectional view of this 1986-D Roosy dime.

But I can say for sure that the reverse side looks like a normal 75% copper/25% nickel blended alloy Roosy dime.

Both the obverse side and the entire reeded cross sectional view are the same color compared to one another and appear similar to a shade of a slightly lighter-colored copper Memorial cent.

The unusual trait is that this Roosy dime only weighs 1.82 grams when the normal uncirculated weight of a 1986-D Roosy dime should be 2.27 grams.

The thickness and diameter of this 1.82 g dime are the same as a normal 1986-D dime.

All of the obverse and reverse features are the same on both the 1.82 g dime compared to the 2.27 g dime.

Please let me know if I have found something abnormal and valuable.

I will obtain photos as soon as possible.

Thanks,
mdpmedia

The weight indicates that it is missing the obverse clad layer, that would be a $20-30 error.
