Hi, I recently started collecting U.S bills and was wondering what to look for on the serial numbers of the bills.

The most valuable serial number combinations are those that are extremely low (00000003) or those will only one repeated digit (77777777). Other collectible ones include radar (read the same forwards or reverse: 93833839), ladder (12345678) and binary (29292999).

There are also those who collect ZIP code bills (00047802) or birthday notes (11262013).

Well... if you find anything with a pattern it's usually a special one...

Bookends are pretty common (00918400) both ends read the same, rotators (608809) flip the note upside down and it's the same. High ones (99999974). Repeaters (10821082, 12312312, 28282828) The same number keeps repeating. Doubles (33771199). Some people collect consecutive notes (11115578 & 11115579), on two different notes.
For me, I'm still looking for a serial number of 3141592(6), otherwise from being the first digets in Pi, it's not that special
