Found these in a stack of $2 bills I picked up at the bank today. Not in great condition, probably not worth anything over face value, but I just like the way they look and think I'll hold onto them for awhile:

The star note may have a small premium.

Nice notes! Is it just me or is the second 0 in the star note raised?
Rest in Peace

Nice find.

I suppose you are right that they aren't worth more than face value, but they have interesting (not valuable) serial numbers. Four 5's, and three 0's + three 7's. Stuff like that catches my eye and I set those bills aside, for no real reason. LOL

I didn't notice it before, but I think you are right. The left hand serial number, at least.

Too bad that star note didn't have double 0's on the end of the serial number. Nice finds!

Is there any way to find out more about it? The site I usually use as a reference for star notes (http://mycurrencycollection.com/ref...tars/lookup) doesn't have any information for Series 1976 $2 bills for some reason.

Ah, thanks. I was using the Star Note Lookup app on the site instead of looking through the actual tables.
