From my recent large cent album purchase:

180x - FR-02 details, corroded

It was in the album under 1804. If you look the coin in hand 3 times, you will see 3 different dates.

At first, your eyes will see 1804. But then it could also be 1802 or even 1807 over 6.

Interested to hear other grade opinions and die variety if anyone is up for it, please?

Until someone much smarter than me corrects it....I would say 1802, S-242.

I can't attest to the variety like Amida, but it is definitely an 1802.

I'm with amida. The corrosion has distorted the last numeral into what you think is a 4. This happens more often on copper..especially old copper.
I'm thinking 1802.
