Gday guys,

Has this coin been cleaned extensively? Or is it supposed to look like this. Its the nicest looking coin I have, but given I know very little about coins, I can only assume its been polished. Looks too good to be true.

Its really hard to tell from the colour in those photos. I am leaning towards it being lustre and not a polished coin but I cant tell for sure.

Thanks enworb, I hope youre right. Sorry, about the photos, but its a very good representation atleast of the colour. Very golden and reflective, which is consistent over the entire coin, and not just in the center.

Is it worth slabbing a coin like this?

Its a reasonably common date in UNC. The cost of slabbing would eat into most of the value.

I agree with enworb unless it made MS64 I think it wouldn't really be worth it

I am inclined to think that this coin has not been polished, because the fields in between the lettering are of the same colour as the rest of the coin.
The coin does look brassy rather than bronze, but that could just be due the to the lighting.
