Looks like a nice VG 1924 cent to me ....with an 'extra piece' in the die when struck..

These retained lamination flaws are quite common in the KGV series -- you can find them in most years. Not much of a premium, unfortunately, but still a nice find for an error hunter. Thanks for sharing!
