I'm picking up a few copy lenses (39mm screw mount) for my bellows arrangement. However the best ebay deals don't always include lens caps or storage containers. The one shown below works just fine, but I cannot find them. Any ideas where I can get more of these? Or maybe some of you have other ideas that are handier and cheaper. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Sounds interesting.... But I have no idea what a CP2 is. I appear much smarter in print than in real life.

Compact Prime. But still don't know if the case protects the lenses in the same way as the Nikkor bubble.

Look at the bottom of the case in your picture. It should say CP2 or CP-2 on it...Ray

Sorry for the disconnect, I got interrupted by life
Dave, I love those little bags and have been known to stitch up a few with the left over fabric from gun sleeve projects. I usually add a polished stone, a crystal, a foreign coin, an antique button or anything else of curiosity. Several isn't wrong. They make great gifts - especially this time of year. For far less than $1, you can brighten the day of every stranger you meet. As stocking stuffers, they cost less than a candy bar, last longer and won't cause hyperactivity or cavities. It can placate a cranky child at the mall, express appreciation to the overworked checker at your local convenience store, make a memorable tip for the waiter/waitress at your favorite lunch counter and be a real ice breaker if you want something to talk about to that pretty girl you just met.
But those bags are not exactly what I wanted for my lenses. They can shed fabric fibers, won't protect the glass if you handle it wrong and can hold moisture.
Ray, My case does not say CP or CP2 on the bottom.. It says,"NIPPON KOBAKU K.K. JAPAN.' Still it is for the 39mm threaded lens and I think you are correct that your CP2 bubbles are what I am looking for. I took a look at the going prices for the bubbles, and unfortunately, they are costlier than I expected. And they don't ship cheaply. If you had spares, I couldn't offer you a fair price. Part of it is the time of the year, and part of it is the time in my life. Trades might be possible, but I suspect you have most of what you need. So for now, I protect the lenses by wrapping them in Saran Wrap, and putting them in little cardboard boxes.
In all, my questions have been answered, and thank every one for their input. I just won't be able to act upon the information for a while.
Thanks

Ahh, your case was made before Nippon Kogaku became Nikon, so it doesn't say CP2, but it's the same case. I do have several of them laying around so PM me with how many you need and we can talk. Saran Wrap and cardboard boxes is an OK method, though I'd suggest putting in a small dessicant bag to keep them dry.
