...that you've seen on this board (and only Coin Community board) if offered? So, basically, which coins stand out as wow...I'd like to have that if offered. Name the user name and the exact coin. I'll start: Jim1953 - 1881 3CN (AU58? MS6?) - A 3CN...how would've guessed? It would make a great replacement for the one already in my 3CN collection. Runners-up SuperDave - Nice Bust Halves. I like that crusty 1827 with the die clashing. Benji - Awesome, crusty looking Bust Half Dimes, like that awesome 1830 PCGS one! He actually was offering! I just can't see myself starting a brand new collection....yet! Edited by Prethen 06/26/2007 10:56 pm

oh gosh that's really hard. But....I would have to say a gold coin I would never be able to afford is the coin Ageka has for his avatar. And then again there Spica's collection, has lots I would like to add to my collection. Oh and of course our very own American --$20 Saint-Gaudens

Wow this is really hard, but I really like Prethen's 1870 PF62 Cameo $1 and PF64 $0.50. I hope I can be first in line if/when that "upgrade" day comes around!

I really need to start getting some cooler coins to become the new envy of the community. There are only 2 coins I currently want and no one has ever posted pics. My avatar being one of them and the 10$ gold 1993 commemorative for WWII

I've seen this $ sign after the numerical amount recently but have no idea why. The largest and most common way to show it is $10 so why this 10$? Wonder if that is the method of some new strange coin collecting cult. Without a list of the prices after any coin I wouldn't even consider attempting to purchase one.

Here ya go, Prethen: As for my answer, there can only be one. I want AuldFartte's 1818 N-10 Large Cent, and I want it bad. I have been on a quest for a similar coin since the day he first posted it, and I've yet to find one as appealing. I will uncork some stupid money when I find one.

Superdave, I have an 1818 NGC graded MS63 RB N-10 Large Cent with the provenience of having been part of Wes Rasmussen's collection that was auctioned on Heritage in 2004. I won it and it even came with the auction catalogue that has pictures of the coin. I will post pictures soon. For those who are not familiar with this coin, the N10 has a die crack that "connects" all 13 stars and the date together! It looks like they are linked by a piece of thread. To get back on topic, I would like to purchase pretty much anything CCYA posts pictures of. He has a remarkable collection and always posts coins that require me to put on a bib! I did get one coin from him, albeit from a vendor who was selling the coin for him. It was a stunning AU55 1876 Trade dollar. I will post pic's of that one as well. Mike
