Perhaps this: 1730 Anna ruble, double struck, unfortunately holed. 1730 rubles aren't too common and to top it up with the double strike error, this is a rather difficult coin to find in any condition. And in addition, the variety seems to be rather rare. Last time when I saw a similar one in an online auction, the starting price was perhaps 10 grand USD but I didn't check the final price. Hard to tell what it's worth considering the mad Russian market at the moment.

Can I mention a former prized possesion? It was an 1882-CC Morgan with the deepest mirrors I have ever seen (even on a proof) ... you could read reflected newsprint from 12 inches. The new owner and I agreed it was MS-65+ DMPL. A sale that I will regret for the rest of my natural life.

Probably my 2006-W ASE, But I'm hoping that will be repaced by a 1995-W very soon. I.E. when hell freezes over.

I see that most folks went for the monitary value of their coins ,,not totally unexpected it is a natural response to a question such as this .. I think though I will go to the emotional standard of value and say my most valuable is a blackened Mercury dime ,, not only was it given to me by a long since passed Uncle it is the coin that Generated that itch that can't be scratch as a collector !! It will never leave my collection in the way many other coins have come and gone from it in the past !! Metalman

The coin I went with started me on Mexican War of Independence, so I am more attached to it emotionally, than I am financially. (Plus I haven't seen another one sold, so can't judge the monetary value of it). ~Roman P.S. Gx - that's one heck of a Rouble
