$5 Note Help? Serial Aa 98786699 And Ab 17960011

Hi Everyone,

This week I've been handed 2 notes in my change, I believe are the 1993 first $5 notes as they appear to have a faded ink and slightly different colours to current notes.

If anyone could shed some light on values that would be appreciated,
The 2 serials are:
AA98786699
AB17960011

The condition has some bends and creases but no tears or damage to ink. I will upload images when possible. Thanks

Hi Matt,

Judging by those serial numbers they are 1992 $5 notes. In circulated condition they are only worth face value.

I like the original color $5 notes, they look pretty cool. Worth hanging on to I reckon.
