I have about 15 coins that are from a castle in Southeastern Turkey. I have only been able to identify one of the coins, but I now have 3 total that are clean enough to see basic details. Any help would be greatly appreciated identifying this coin:

Thanks!

it's early Islamic, but beyond that I can't really say.

It seems so similar to a Byzantine coin that was recovered only a few inches away. There seems to be a figure or symbol on the side of the script or lines in the middle of the coin, much like the Byzantine coin I have:

Does anyone have any advice about where I should start looking to do research to figure out what this coin is? Also any advice on getting it any more clean than it is now? Thanks

It's a fals. The mint and date look to be not visible from the bottom (obverse) photo.
