It's OK...every collector make his decision what to buy.
Could be,that for some "Pure modern NCLT collector" the 1948 Silver Dollar not different from 1947 one.
But as "penny collector" isn't it better for you to get the 2012 Penny from the 2012 Silver Proof set? It also .9999 Silver, proof, with pink gold plating and the size of the original Penny (1 cent)

(2012 fine silver proof with gold from proof set)It is a very nice penny as well, and only 20,000 of them

Really liked this variety....
For myself I still can not decide - do I want/need the 2012 Proof Silver set (as the last one that has the Penny + special Penny + special Loony double-dated), or just the Penny from this set.

Very nice Picture aswitzer! Now the 99.999 gold penny is missing and the 99.999 silver penny from the 5-coin set is missing

I just got back from my LCS. He had both the 1/25 oz gold coin and the 1/2 oz silver. I really liked the design so I bought both of them.
