I was wondering if someone could please help me try to figure out a price on a few Morgans that I have gotten awhile back, any input would be great, I have a 1885 CC MS65, 1902-S MS63 and a 1903-O MS65+. Any help would be appreciated.

1902-S: $690
1903-O: $480 (MS-63)

Was it a TPG that graded the coins?

Check out numismedia http://www.numismedia.com/fmv/fmv.shtml
ebay is also a good spot to check to see what they are selling for. Check the sold listings.

EDIT: Wow beat me to it!

Another idea I have; is if you know your local coin shop to call them up and asking them what the grey sheet price is. I have done this a couple of times. The main thing is to be honest about your inquiry. I have a good relationship with my local shop, and buy coins from them kind of often, so when I call I just am honest with them and they have never said no.

Are the coins raw or graded by a TPG and if so, which one?

Other auction archives to be researched are Heritage Aouctions, Teletrade, etc.

That is good to hear. You should get a good idea from auction results on ebay and as already mentioned, Heritage and Teletrade.

and to CCF.

All guide books have two types of listings.
1) I wish I could buy one at that price. And...
2) I wish I could sell one at that price.

LOL as usual, Chute72.

The bad part is, Teletrade is disappearing as a standalone archive. I don't know what Stacks Bowers will do with the archive as they fold Teletrade into their operation; hope exists.

The good part is, Heritage has almost a quarter of a million Morgan sales in their archive, a large enough database to form statistical and long-term conclusions, and they're not going anywhere.

I heard they are going to carry the Teletrade archives over to Stacks, so they should still be available in the future.
