I see definite wear in the mid-range. Struck slightly OC but a nice coin!

Well it is hard to say VF because of the missing features ..... Namely the whole face ! And yet it is at least a VF if we consider how much is intact. I think a low end VF. Perhaps a combination of our standard F VF XF combined with a numeral would be a more accurate way of giving a rating ( between one and ten for simplicity)
I give it a VF-3

FR- Fair enough. The horse, bust and surface are gorgeous but so much of the face is missing. Like I said I think I can argue for a VF.

One of the great variables for ancient bronze is of course the degree of patination. Some have none (too much cleaning !) some have minor (best described as toned) and then everything else all the way up to encrusted. Occasionally we see a beautiful smooth and hard surface much like the surface of an old statue standing in the town square. Personally I find these the best of all ! Especially when given the right color scheme. Anything from bright green, olive green, chocolate brown, orange or grey/black. The point I am getting at is that an ancient bronze coins' condition is not predicated on wear and strike alone. What otherwise might be seen as environmental 'damage' can either be a plus ..... or a minus ! AE Sestertius DIVVS ANTONINVS issued by Marcus Rv DIVO Very hard smooth dark green obverse. Reverse is a pale yellowish green/brown. Very smooth and an absolute delight to hold in hand ....... Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy

Beautiful patina, AP is probably my favorite of all the emperors. With the amount of wear on this coin I would grade it at Vgood.

Fine obverse + Good reverse = VG, with attractive smooth surfaces and strong obverse portrait.

Details are fine, but with the broken and cracked flan I would grade the coin as Good.

I would give mr. left facing Constantine: Fine, details corroded surfaces, cleaning marks (I think I see scratches from cleaning, not positive because of the plastic)

Fine condition with scraped surfaces. Full legends and good detail . Possibly 'improvable' with long bath.
FR scale ...... F-5
the dangers of writing on an Iphone while sitting on the beach (Clearwater) I wrote improbable ....... well its that that too !

Full circles centering, a bit of wear, I would put this coin at a choice VF.

Really tough questions when it comes to Gallienus not the least of which is that the quality of the issuer is so ...... Variable ! From being relatively normal at the beginning to down right abysmal later in a long and eventful reign. You posted this one several times and it appears to be early with actual silver content and not just the 'wash' of later types. The artistic style is reasonably good too. In my book that does not hurt any. For overall quality I see a low end VF.
FR scale VF-3

I chose this coin because Gallienus coins are usually found in terrible condition. This one is an exception to the rule.
