As I am on my winter 'sabbatical' with the inlaws in sunny Florida I have only what my laptop has in memory to post. I hurriedly 'memorized' a few before the flight ! AE As Titus Rv Spes walking As this is a tough crowd to please I shall list the positives I see. Firstly patina ...... dark olive green and quite thick and heavy. Well centered and most details still visible. Surfaces slightly rough ..... but as with most ancient bronze the greater the magnification the more it resembles the lunar surface ! You just can't grade the surfaces of these like you would early US coppers.

Ski I would give your Gallienus a straight up VF. Nice coin! BTW I would call my previously posted Constantius II a VF details, cracked with broken edges

fine +?
a factor that is sometimes important to me, and not reflected in any of the grading scales I've seen, it how it "feels." a nice thick coin with some mass to it is a big plus for me. I like how high relief feels on the finger tips as well. that titus looks like it would "feel" nice.

Personally I give it a low VF. It might be improvable but I would rather not fix what ain't broke. I like a little encrustation ...... Just to emphasize the antiquity !
FR rating VF-4 ( it gets a bonus point for color)

I love this coin. Details of the bust and Victory are EF, the legend has slight wear in a few areas. Overall I would grade the coin as aEF.

The coin has a very nice full legend on the obverse with VF details. The reverse doesn't show much of the legend covered by dirt and it appears that some of the legend is off flan. With a little more cleaning more of the legend may be visible. As the coin is now I would grade it at aVF.

Cool, I just bought it off ebay for $6. What would be the best cleaning method that uses home appliances?

A soaking in either Distilled water or Olive oil. I prefer Olive oil.
