look at the 8 and the 9, under 10x zoom I can see doubling of some sort without adjusting the lighting or moving the coin and the "B""R" in liberty, I dont know so tell me what you guys think thanks

it really does look doubled. the lighting may be playing tricks though. I am far from an expert - and have been fooled quite a few times. good luck - I hope it really is a doubled die.

This looks like Machine Doubling to me, sorry . There are 2 DDO's listed on coppercoins, does it have any of the markers? You have no photos of the marker areas of the coin.

Difficult to tell definitively with the pictures. Your exposure compensation is set to high. Try to get a couple pictures without all the glare. Don't use a flash but in a pretty good lighted area with one light source. I'm not going to guess either way cause it does look interesting.

The mint mark doesn't have the glare on the top of it and it is machine doubled in the same direction.
