I have started collecting coins literally in the past few weeks. I have been reading some about grading coins, and want to submit some of the coins that I am buying on ebay to PCGS, NGC, IGC, or ANACS. But that's an expensive proposition for coins that aren't valuable enough for it. So I thought I would submit some of the coins here that I am considering submitting to get some opinions of whether they are actually as nice as I think they are!

Here's the first coin. It is a 1900-s Barber quarter. Images uploaded. Opinions?

Thanks in advance to anybody willing to help!

Whatever you do, don't send it to PCGS or NGC; you'll be wasting your money since the coin's been cleaned.

Harshly cleaned. Tons of hairline scratches going in the same direction are the obvious clue here. Most collectors will veer away from coins like this. It's premium is all but gone.

It has fine lines all over suggesting that someone has cleaned it in the past. If sent to PCGS or NGC it will not be graded. You can send it to ANACS and they will grade it and mark it as "cleaned"
